About the Event

Comedy On The Commons is back with the Remember The Ithaca Festival Comedy Fest. The Ithaca Festival is postponed, but the comedy is going online!  We are going Virtual and bringing this event to you!

Karam Anthony is a 27 year-old up-and-coming comic from Syracuse, NY. He likes to speak frankly on dark subjects, complaining about being brown (not white! not black!), and making people laugh.

Amy Stephens is a female comedienne who happens to be transgender. Her comedy shows the difficulties faced by trans people from cis folk while not being preachy, and is always well received by audiences. She performs regularly in the Rochester area, has performed in New York City, and she has made multiple trips to London, England to perform her set.

Paul Wood is a creative comedian from Syracuse. The writer, director and star of Paul Makes Stuff, his YouTube series, Wood is a natural storyteller. The host of the open mic at Sharkey's, Wood is making his debut at Buried Acorn. 

Sara Shipley is a quick-rising star within the Upstate, NY Comedy scene. A performance triple threat - Improvisor, Actor and Comedian, Sara has opened for some of the biggest names in comedy including Gary Gulman, Jim Norton and Tim Meadows. You can catch Sara performing regularly in Rochester, NY at the Comedy at the Carlson and the Focus Theater.

Joe Ford has been doing standup comedy for exactly a year. He is a storyteller, that means what he says might be true....

Melissa Guevara Miami born New York based Latina comic. Currently have a podcast called Oye Loka where we discussing Latinx issues on surviving in New York as Miami transplants. Have been seen all over New York City comedy clubs and run two shows a weekly called Haunted comedy and a monthly show called Mommy issues. Seen on bravo
