About the Event
"Stand Up for Pride: Ithaca’s LGBTQ+ Comedy Night" not only promises an evening of laughter and celebration but also a chance to contribute to a meaningful cause. Join us at NRE Space on June 11th, from 8 PM to 10 PM, and be part of an event that kicks off Ithaca’s Pride Week with humor, community, and inclusivity.
Hosted by MacLain, and headlined by Ellen Doyle, with performances from Amy Stephens and local favorites Calen MacDonald, Or Shay, and Arielle Johnson, this event showcases Ithaca’s most talented LGBTQ+ comedians. It's an opportunity to come together to celebrate the vibrant spirit and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community.
This year, we are proud to announce that 10% of all profits from the night will go directly to the Ithaca Pride Alliance. The IPA plays a crucial role in our community, fostering connections, support, and programming that resonate with the needs of local LGBTQ+ residents. The Alliance was born out of a historic commitment to queer community organizing in Ithaca—a city that has long been a safe haven for queer individuals and their families. From early activism like the lobbying for same-sex marriage protections to addressing today’s needs for inclusive and varied community-focused events, IPA’s efforts are vital to enriching our collective social fabric.
By attending "Stand Up for Pride," you're not just enjoying a night of outstanding comedy, but you're also supporting the continued growth and impact of the Ithaca Pride Alliance. Join us to laugh, celebrate, and contribute to a cause that supports the heart of Ithaca’s LGBTQ+ community.
